Storing and deleting your personal information

We store your personal information in the following ways and no longer than necessary:

  • Information about how you use the website: we collect this in an anonymous way (see ‘cookies’)
  • Information you provide when you subscribe to our newsletter: we store this information in our MailChimp e-mail list. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in a newsletter or by contacting us. We will delete personal information within three months after unsubscribing.
  • Information you provide when registering for events: we store this information on our secure server. We will delete your personal information after we no longer need it for the organization of the event.
  • Information you provide when donating to Recourse: this information is processed by our bank (Triodos) and appears on our bank statements. We store bank statements as long as we are required by law.

Recourse’s website, like most websites, uses small text files called cookies. A cookie is a tiny element of data that our website can send to your browser, and may then be stored on your computer or mobile device.
